I have commissioned Donna Hawkins on
several occasions and each commission has been on very distinct and
unrelated subject matters. In one commission, Donna produced a

Donna’s portrait of us
three is just so perfect, so real… we had it done for our mother’s
50th birthday and she loves it! We just emailed Donna a photo and a
few weeks later our portrait arrived by courier. |

We commissioned Donna
to paint a portrait of our father, Bede Burton, for his 70th
birthday. We choose his first wedding photo when he was the tender
age of 21, for the portrait as we wanted Dad to be inspired by the
memory of his youthful magnificence. He hates getting his photo
taken and has resented growing older hence our choice to capture the
glory of his youth. Dad loved the portrait and for the first time
in his life, appreciated his own image. We have not seen him this
happy ever before! Donna captured his spirit, his youth and the
shine of his looking forward into an as yet unknown future with
